Special Credit (Non-Degree) Students

You may take courses even if you do not intend to earn a college degree or certificate from Daytona State College. For example, you may want to enroll in courses for transfer credit, to upgrade your career skills or for personal enrichment. As a special credit student, you are limited to a total of 15 hours, after which you must declare a major. You are also required to meet all of the same pre- and co-requisite standards for course enrollment as degree seeking students.

1. Submit an application for admission, either online or download the printable version.
   
2. Complete placement requirements if applicable.
   
3. Meet with an Academic Advisor to discuss placement results if applicable or desired.
   
4. Register for classes, available online.
   
5. Pay for classes, available online.
   
6. Obtain student ID and parking decal.
