What is Academic Advising?

Academic Advising is here to assist and guide you from your first semester through graduation. You will first meet with Academic Advising after you have been admitted to the college and have taken a placement test. (Some students with qualifying SAT/ACT test scores or transfer credits will not need to be tested.)

Are you ready to choose your classes?

Our professional and friendly staff will:
 - Discuss program and course requirements
 - Provide an explanation of test scores and/or course placement
 - Assist you in selecting courses for your first semester
 - Provide a general overview of the process of course selection and registration
 - Explain your student rights and responsibilities
 - Teach you how to use FalconNet and On-line Student Services
 - Present information for tutoring and study skills, or help with a specific academic problem

Having problems with Online Course Availiblity, click here for our helpful handout.

As you progress through your academic program, Academic Advising will continue to assist you with further course selection, changes in programs, and graduation. We're also here as a resource as you transition to another 4-year college or university.
