| Each year Financial Aid Services receives requests for more campus-based and institutional funds than are available. Applications are reviewed in the order in which students have completed the application process. Awards are initially based on the projected enrollment status indicated on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Awards are revised if the actual enrollment status differs from the award projection. Full-time enrollment is a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester; three-quarter time is a minimum of 9 credit hours per semester; half-time is a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester; less than half time is less than 6 credit hours per semester. (Note, audited classes are not eligible for financial aid.) With the exception of the Pell Grant, a student must be enrolled at least half-time to be eligible for aid. Any aid a student receives or expects to receive from an outside source must be reported to Financial Aid Services. Such outside assistance must be considered as a component of the student’s financial aid package and will reduce need. All Veterans’ educational benefits are treated as a resource when determining remaining need. Applications for an upcoming academic year are available in January. All required documents must be on file in Financial Aid Services before a student is offered a financial aid package. Financial Aid Services reserves the right to review and cancel awards at any time because of changes in a student's financial or academic status, academic program, resident status, enrollment status, etc. |
