Minimum Qualifications: This position requires prior teaching experience and a Master's degree (with 18 graduate hours in discipline) in Engineering or related field. The preferred candidate will have a Doctorate degree. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with surveying, mapping and site development, AutoCAD for two and three dimensional drawings and GIS (geographic information system). Demonstration of ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) standards is required.
Responsibilities: Under the general supervision of the Department Chair, the successful candidate will teach organized classes in accordance with course description, outlines and class schedules; evaluate progress of students; advise students concerning educational matters and perform other instructional related duties as assigned. In addition, the successful candidate will teach lecture and laboratory classes in CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) including but not limited to courses using industry-standard products including: AutoCAD and associated products in support of our architectural and construction drafting areas, as well as Solid Works 2007, Inventor and 3-D Studio in support of our mechanical and engineering drafting areas.
Rank: Appointment level to any faculty position is dependent upon qualifications and experience. Probable level of appointment is Instructor.
Salary: Nine-month position. Faculty salary is competitive. The College also provides a comprehensive benefits package.
