Auditions set for Aug. 27, 28 & 29 at Daytona State
DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Aug. 14, 2008) - The School of Music, Entertainment and Art at Daytona State College announces open auditions for its season opener, “You Can’t Take It With You,” by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman.
Open auditions will be held Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 7 p.m. as well as Aug. 28 and 29 at 3 p.m., in the J. M. Goddard Center (Bldg. 230), Rm. 116 located at 1200 W. International Speedway Boulevard.
Actors will read from the script. All roles are open and consist of nine male, seven female and three male extras, and vary in age up to mid-60s.
“You Can't Take It With You” is a Pulitzer Prize-winning comedic play in three acts by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. Directed by Daytona State’s Robert Arcuri, senior professor and assistant chair, evening performances begin Tuesday, September 30.
