Popular student-run restaurant, Cafe 101 atDaytona Stateto feature international cuisine

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (June 10, 2008) - Thursday, June 5 may have concluded the first session of classes for the popular student-run restaurant Cafe 101 at Daytona State College, but the next session starts June 16.

Featuring international cuisine, reservations are now being taken for the next session that starts Monday, June 16 and continues through Thursday, July 3. Additional dates will be announced throughout the summer semester.

The teaching café and kitchen, tied to DBC's College of Hospitality and Culinary Management, will begin limited seating by reservation only for lunch Monday through Thursday. Reservations can be made for 11:30 a.m. or noon.

The restaurant is run entirely by students under the supervision of the College's culinary professors/chefs.

For $9 (including tax), lunch patrons receive an appetizer, entrée, dessert and beverage. Vegetarian meals are available by request. Gratuities are welcome and help fund student scholarships. MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover are accepted at Café 101; patrons also may pay with cash.

The restaurant is located in the Mori Hosseini College of Hospitality Management on DBC's Daytona Beach Campus, 1200 W. International Speedway Blvd.
