CBI at Daytona State announces two full-day employee engagement workshops

 

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Aug. 11, 2008) - Winning today’s challenges to attract committed employees and engage their best efforts are imperative for your organization’s success in our dynamic marketplace. Employee engagement leads to significant, measurable improvements in business results.

 

Join the Center for Business and Industry at Daytona State College for two full-day, interactive workshops to learn more about employee engagement and how it can be promoted in your business.

 

When:  Wednesday, Aug. 27

             8:30 - 9 a.m., check-in and continental breakfast

             9 a.m. – 4 p.m., workshop

 

What:   Selecting Your Way to Success

             This one day workshop focuses on critical elements of employee engagement.

            Workshop topics:

  • Preparing interview guides
  • Techniques for selecting the "right" hire or promotee
  • Preparing an "engaging" recruiting theme and sourcing strategy for a key role
  • "Best Practice" examples of "Selection for Success"                

When:  Tuesday, Sept. 16

             8:30 - 9 a.m., check-in and continental breakfast

             9 a.m. – 4 p.m., workshop

 

What:   Gaining Commitment & Engagement Through Performance Management and Recognition

            This one day workshop focuses on critical elements of employee engagement.

            Workshop topics:

  • The Importance of "Performance Feedback" to Employee Engagement
  • The Critical Role of the Front Line Manager
  • The Balanced Scorecard Approach = It's Not Just The Bottom Line
  • Performance Ratings and Their Role in the Employee Life-Cycle Management
  • Return on Investment for Training and Development

Fee:            $249 per workshop, per participant (group and series scholarships available). Lunch is included.

 

Who:            This series of employee engagement seminars will be lead by Sam McPherson, president of Successtrategies and Karl Haigler, president of Haigler Enterprises.
