Register for fall classes at New Student Enrollment Day!
DAYTONA BEACH, FL, (June 30, 2008) - Daytona State College has made registration for the fall 2008 semester simple! Attend our New Student Enrollment Day event to complete everything from admission to registration and have a chance at winning a $500 scholarship provided by the Daytona State College Foundation!
Simply complete a Daytona State College application (apply online or download the application from the Daytona State College Web site at www.dbc.edu, meet with an Admissions Advisor and Financial Aid Counselor, take an assessment test (if applicable), complete the online college orientation, meet with an Academic Advisor and then register for fall classes while they're still available. Fall classes start Monday, Aug. 25, 2008.
The Daytona State College New Student Enrollment Day event will be held as follows:
Saturday, July 19, check-in 9 - 11 a.m., enrollment 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Daytona Beach Campus
Bldg. 100, Atrium
1200 W. Int'l Speedway Blvd., Daytona Beach
The Daytona State College Financial Aid Office will be open to assist with college education financing and will provide assistance to complete the financial aid applications (FAFSA).
Parents whose children are making the transition from high school to the college environment can take advantage of a special orientation session to learn important information about what to expect. A workshop for parents will be held at 10 a.m.
Academic Advisors also will be available to talk to about unique academic programs such as Honors College and Learning Communities that include Linked Classes and Daytona State College's award winning QUANTA program.
Refreshments will be provided and the New Student Enrollment Day event will culminate with a free drawing for a $500 Daytona State College scholarship pr
