Symphonic Band announces rehearsal schedule for fall semester

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Aug. 25, 2008) - The Daytona State College Symphonic Band begins a new academic year of rehearsals starting Monday, Aug. 25. Rehearsals continue throughout the semester every Monday at 7 p.m. except for holidays, including the approaching Labor Day Holiday.

All rehearsals are held on the Daytona Beach Campus in the Theater Center (Bldg. 220), Rm. 219 located at 1200 W. Int’l Speedway Blvd.

“We welcome community members who play wind or percussion instruments to come and be a part of this exciting and rewarding group,” stated the Director of Instrumental Music and Associate Professor, Peter Waidelich. “This group is an integral part of the College’s cultural programs and presents three or four high profile performances each semester."

The Symphonic Bands’ first performance of the Fall semester is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 16 at 7:30 p.m.
