Comments from last years performance
I didnt expect a Broadway type performance!
That was AMAZING! I cant believe you had a real camel!
Can we get tickets for next years performance yet?
The costumes and sound and lighting were like nothing Ive ever seen! I cant believe you guys made all those costumes!
That was just a few of the many comments that came from the thousands of people who attended one of the 7 performances of Bethlehems Tower The Birthplace of the Lamb.
Much of the acting and singing was performed by Dayspring students and several of the songs were original songs written by Mrs. Linda Scudder and all the songs were orchestrated by Mr. David Clydesdale. Every Dayspring student was involved in some way or another. Hands-on opportunities were given to each student: some sang in the choir or sang a solo, some worked in the sound, lighting, or with cameras, some were actors on stage, some helped with backstage props or were in charge of the animals, others greeted people and took their tickets, or some put makeup on the actors, and some prepared meals for the performers everyone took part in this magnificent yearly event!
This is just another way in which Dayspring Bible College trains their students. Ministry is not only knowing Gods Word, but how to put in to action all the things you have learned. Putting on an event isnt easy and it takes a lot of planning and a lot of people working together. We wont know until we get to Heaven how many people trusted Christ as their Savior when Dr. Scudder gave the gospel message at each performance, but we do know that each and every Dayspring student had a part of it and they will receive rewards in Heaven for a job well-done.
